Visiting the UofM & EMU Student Games Showcase

Earlier this week, some coworkers and I piled into a couple of cars and drove out to Ann Arbor for a showcase of games created by students from the University of Michigan (UM) and Eastern Michigan University (EMU). They throw this showcase twice a year at the end of their semesters and it’s a fun way to meet people who are passionate about games and all of the work that goes into making them. I went last December and had a fantastic time, so I was excited to get to go again.

Stardock Game Night: Games for Big Groups

One of the benefits of working with a bunch of people who love games as much as you do is that you’re never short on takers for a game night! We try to do these once a month or so here at the office as time permits, and it’s always a good excuse for us to unwind together after a long work day and just enjoy each other’s company. One More Page Speech

This speech in honor of my late friend Brian was delivered during a 2017 competition circuit for Toastmasters International. It won 3rd place at the district level in front of hundreds of people, but more importantly, it won a place in my heart. It gave me comfort in a time when I was grieving and missing my best friend by allowing me to share a hopeful message with my audiences.
